Upon emerging from their shelter, players confront a devastated landscape where various factions battle for control of small settlements, and the wilderness teems with dangerous creatures, violent robots, mutated monsters, and deadly radiation.
The action takes place in and around Boston roughly 200 years after a nuclear holocaust, with gamers assuming the role of the last survivor of a large fallout shelter known as Vault 111. Bethesda Softworks' post-apocalyptic open-world RPG returns with a new setting, an enhanced crafting system, and thousands of lines of dialogue in Fallout 4.
